Home to the third and smallest of San Diego’s missions, Pala has the only mission in California still serving its original parishioners--the Indians of the Pala reservation.  

Pala is home to the Casino Pauma where one can enjoy slots, black jack, restaurants and entertainment in a tropical setting.  Down the road at the top of the mountain is the famous Palomar Observatory run by Cal Tech. View the 200-inch telescope as well as the smaller ones. There is a museum and gift shop.

Pala Mesa has a public resort course with memberships available. Pala Mesa is a very scenic and challenging course near Fallbrook. Area homes ca run from $300,000 to over $3 million
